Looking at my new Netvibes is one of my favourite custom websites. You must try to test this amazing space to read and manage your personal updates and news once you organized this one.

- Tools: Here I added “currency converter”, but I will add a lot of this kind of stuff.

Doscientos pesos argentinos

Estuve leyendo sobre la iniciativa de un nuevo billete de doscientos pesos para adecuarse al ritmo de vida de los argentinos. Como sabemos hoy en día con un billete de 100 pesos se puede comprar menos de la mitad de los bienes y servicios que se podían adquirir hace 10 años. Este proyecto impulsa lograr adaptar el valor de la moneda, y a su vez conmemorar el bicentenario.

La depreciación del peso argentino provoca que el billete de 100 pesos equivalga solamente a un billete de u$s 29. De este modo se puede comprender que será necesaria la circulación de estos billetes. No obstante, será mejor para la contabilización del dinero en los bancos porque ayudara a la rapidez en los tramites, y esto ayudara a agilizar los tiempos. También se gastara menos dinero en su impresión.

Estuve probando un software muy útil llamado Sticky Password creado en el 2001 por Alex Tischenko, el fundador de Lamantine Software. Este producto nos permite guardar varias cuentas (emails, social media, etc), y de este modo no tenemos que estar escribiendo contraseñas preservando nuestra identidad que pueden poner en riesgo los conocidos Keyloggers u otros softwares. La base de datos esta encriptada con una encripción algorítmica segura disponible en la industria, incluyendo el grado militar de algoritmos AES.
Esta aplicación soporta esencialmente todos los browsers, como Interner explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, y otros.

Volkswagen have a car storage centre in Wolfsburg, Germany

I’ve heard about this so many times before, but is it true. It looks like a futurist movie, and these kind of centers are a great advance.

WOLFSBURG, GERMANY – MARCH 11: Cars by German automaker Volkswagen AG stand parked in one of two towers at the Autostadt customer reception center at the Volkswagen factory on the day of VW’s annual press conference on March 11, 2010 in Wolfsburg, Germany. VW Chairman Martin Winterkorn admitted that VW had been affected by the worldwide financial crisis in 2009, though reported that many of VW’s brands reported growth, especially in China. VW customers who come to Wolfsburg to pick up their car in person receive their new car after a robot extracts the car from one of the two towers and brings it to them via an automated, underground transport system. Each of the two towers hold 400 cars.

Three US scientists win Nobel Prize for medicine

This morning I was reading this “great” news about Medicine.

Elizabeth Blackburn, Carol Greider and Jack Szostak of the US have won this year’s Nobel Prize for Medicine, it was announced in Stockholm Monday.

The three scientists solved a fundamental problem in biology on ‘how chromosomes can be copied in a complete way and how they are protected against degradation’, the Nobel Assembly at the Karolinska Institute said.

The statement said the trio were cited for the discovery of ‘how chromosomes are protected by telomeres and the enzyme telomerase’.

The discovery had ‘stimulated the development of new therapeutic strategies’, the Nobel Assembly said.

The medicine prize is the first of the 2009 Nobel awards to be announced.

Penoso cumplimiento de las empresas argentinas con el usuario

Como ciudadano que reside en Argentina, me encuentro en la gran necesidad de escribir este artículo, a consecuencia de que las empresas argentinas de comunicación y otras estatales, tienen un servicio al usuario inestable y penoso.

Personal: Es una empresa de telefonía celular, la cual tiene el eslogan “Personal te conviene”. Sobre el mismo quisiera indagar, porque su servicio es muy básico e inestable. Cuando deseo cargar el pack de sms 5 días a través del numero (*152), logro comunicarme con el servicio, 2 de 10 veces que intento llamar al mismo. Es decir, un 80% de las veces no puedo utilizarlo.
Mis conjeturas acerca de este inconveniente, es que a esta “empresa” de Telecom, les conviene que el usuario gaste más dinero por cada sms, y no tener 5000 sms vigentes por 5 días. Lógicamente si envió a diario mucha cantidad de sms, al término de la semana voy a terminar gastando más dinero que el costo del pack.
¿No será mucha casualidad que el servicio no funcione cuando uno intenta cargar el pack de sms?
Dentro de los inconvenientes de este servicio, esta la consulta del saldo, lo cual funciona algo mejor que la carga de packs, pero no con estabilidad. Luego tenemos el problema de “la señal”, que funciona; pero en muchas ocasiones durante el plazo de un mes, conserva la inestabilidad.

Correo Argentino: Es una empresa de correo en Argentina. Entre sus prestaciones, ofrece servicios al cliente a través de un email y teléfono, pero nunca logramos utilizarlas. Sería muy útil que la empresa evalué condiciones al respecto sobre estos servicios, porque cuando intentamos comunicarnos –incansablemente- su personal –siempre- está ocupado y cuando enviamos un email, nunca recibimos una respuesta.
¿Para que prestan este tipo de servicios, si nunca podemos obtener utilidad alguna?

British conductor Sir Edward Downes and his wife die at Swiss clinic

This evening I was watching the tv news, and I found this.

The distinguished British conductor Sir Edward Downes and his wife Lady Joan have ended their lives at the Dignitas clinic in Zurich, their children revealed today.

Rather than struggle on with their health problems, they decided to end their lives peacefully together last Friday, “under circumstances of their own choosing”.

They follow more than 100 British people in making the journey to die in Switzerland, where assisted suicide is legal.
